Venues and Accommodation

The S.E.E.D. Institute runs courses from several venues: Godalming in Surrey, Stour Row in Dorset, Binfield in Berkshire and Queen Camel in Somerset.

Please note that our Tutors will travel to any suitable location in the UK or abroad, to teach 12+ students. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

The address is: The Barn, Wiggins Yard, Bridge Street, Godalming, GU7 1HL.

From the station (walking): With the station behind you, walk down to your left down the road towards the Vet in front of you. Walk along the path on the left of the vet coming out onto a road. Walk past the church and along the path to the right of the church between a wall and the graveyard. Come out onto a road with a playground on your left. Walk through the car park and diagonally opposite where the playing fields are, there is a path to the right of the fields – walk along this path and you come out into a courtyard – Surrey Holistic is directly in front of you in the Barn.

From Waitrose: Walk up Bridge Street toward Godalming High Street. On the right hand side you will see a fruit and veg seller. Immediately before the grocers is Wiggins Yard Lane. Walk down Wiggins Yard and you will see the Centre in The Barn on the left.

From Godalming High Street: Walk down Godalming High Street away from the Pepper Pot and toward the Sun pub. At the end of the High Street where the road forks, head down Bridge Street, which is on your left. On the left hand side you will see a fruit and veg seller. Immediately after the grocers is Wiggins Yard Lane. Walk down Wiggins Yard and you will see the Centre in The Barn on the left.

By Rail

Godalming is situated 5.5 miles south west of Guildford and has two rai lway stations (Godalming and Farncombe) on the SW Trains service between London (Waterloo) and Portsmouth Harbour. London (Waterloo) is approximately 40-minutes away.

The closest staion to the venue is Godalming which is a 9 min walk.

From London Waterloo, change at Woking. It is then 4 stops to Godalming.

If travelling by train, it is often possible (after the first morning) to arrange lifts to the station with other students. Similar possibilities might arise with lifts to your B & B accommodation.

By Road

Godalming is easily accessible by road being close to the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road. M25 is not far away and accessed via the A3.

Dorset Venue

The address is: Stour Row Village Hall, Dover Street, Stour Row, Shaftesbury, Dorset, SP7 0QG

Take the turning off the A30, opposite The Kings Arms and travel approx. one and a half miles until you reach a T-Junction, opposite a long concrete private drive. Turn left at T-junction. Stour Row Hall is a few yards on the left (looks like a small church).

By Rail

Nearest rail station is Gillingham (approx. 5 miles) which is served by services from London (Waterloo) Service interval is approximately hourly. Twenty minutes journey east from Gillingham is Salisbury where passengers can change for trains to Bristol, Cardiff and Swindon then on to Southampton, Portsmouth and Brighton.

If travelling by train, it is often possible (after the first morning) to arrange lifts to the station with other students. Similar possibilities might arise with lifts to your B&B accommodation.

Somerset Venue

The address is: The Old School, Queen Camel, BA22 7NH

The postcode takes you to the middle of the village - the Old School is at the A303 (north) end of the village directly opposite the church. Coming from the north, the car park is immediately on the right just after the road bears left and narrows to go across the bridge. Drive in through the metal gates and park; the venue is through the entrance on the left hand side of the building.

Coming from the south, immediately after the road bends to the left by the church, the car park is on your left just before the road narrows to go over the bridge.

In KNOX GREEN, take the FIRST LEFT, then FIRST RIGHT, Number 42 is the VERY LAST HOUSE ON THE RIGHT, tucked away in the corner.

Let us know if details have altered, or you are not happy with the accommodation and we will amend the list. If you need transport to and from your accommodation on Course-days, other Students will often provide it if they are staying nearby; it is always worth asking.
