Summary:
Many therapists lack confidence in releasing some areas of the body. This can mean they refer clients on. This is a popular day; the techniques covered are at the request of the attending students. Tutor demonstrations and plenty of practice time enable the students to learn simple and effective techniques that give lasting results for their clients.
Update your knowledge of both assessment and treatment protocols and build your confidence by broadening your skillset.
This course is specifically tailored to those attending.
Overview
This course was formulated at the request of Therapists who wanted to update their knowledge of assessing and working on areas of the body with which they were lacking in confidence. This one day course provides plenty of opportunity to observe demonstrations and to practice new techniques to broaden your skillset.
It is also the third day of our Return to Practice Course, (RTP1)
offering those students the opportunity to learn additional assessment & massage techniques to
add to their newly invigorated practice.
For qualified Massage Therapists

This course is a practical day and adjusted to the levels of experience of those attending. We will address the areas of the body that attending students indicate will be most supportive to their learning.
The following assessment techniques and treatment protocols are usually included because it is our experience that many students report lacking confidence in these areas.
Topics include:
- Introduction to Postural Analysis
- Emotional Holding Patterns
- Assessing and working with the Psoas
- Introduction to Myofascial Release
- Accessing the Subscapularis – the ‘missing’ rotator cuff muscle
- Demonstration/Practice of different techniques to release areas with which students lack confidence.
Therefore the techniques covered are at the request of the attending students on the day.
